    What is this?

    I found this connection loose in my 17 SHO 250. The engine ran fine today, but I'm wondering should these to items be connected?

    Weather cap for diagnostic plug. Yes it needs to be on.

    Yep. Exactly what that is.

    Never heard of an operational issue with the cap not in place but it is supposed to be.
