I finally ordered a qt of CrystaLac CrabCoat to try on lures.

I'll let ya know what I think after I use and fish with it. They offer satin as well, But I ordered gloss for this test.

I'm guessing the clear paint experiment wasn't successful?

I am a residential painter, this looks interesting for front doors. Stained wood front doors never hold up well, it would be interesting to compare this to our current front door finish.

Yes... I painted a bunch of baits this past week. I put this finish on about 5 different baits saturday/yesterday, Looks great! Fishing with them today. I know they are dry to the touch and get more durable in time. I had the rotissorie going and space heater on them. Looks promising.

I have only fished with these baits for a limited time one day. I think it’s going to work out fine, but I would rather put some more time on them before I promote it.
