Haven't been on the water in months, but Truman is a good topwater and spinnerbait lake. Pop-R & double willow blade.
Mine caught a couple-he said he had only fly fished before but was adequate using a spinning outfit. I was glad when he caught his first fish- a fat 14 incher. Then toward the end of the day he made an errant cast into deeper water and caught a 16.5 inch spotted bass. We ended up with 4 fish for 8.24 pounds and 3rd place in the bass division.Originally Posted by Swampseed
My warrior caught our only keeper as she was dragging her spinnerbait behind the boat commenting on how pretty and flashy it was in the water. She didnt even have to reel it.
Most of the fish I caught were all on jigs and senkos. If you found one there would be several more close by. With the cooler weather this week things will prob change
Funny how that works. Several yeas ago my warrior caught our only keeper when his worm was hanging over the transom while he was picking out a backlash. He got it picked out and had a good keeper on.
