    Yep exactly. The Suzuki was bulletproof but it was heavy and it wasn't powerful enough. The gearing and torque curve was weird, and it was an inline 4 where most 200 hp are V6. The 195 can reach speeds of 70+ and I was only getting high 50s.

    My motor only says Optimax, apparently pro xs hasn't come out yet? Or is Optimax and Pro XS the same thing that year?

    Do u have any pics of the bass cat?

    Triton 19 XS Elite, 225 Mercury Pro XS, Minn Kota Ultrex 112, Hydrowave H2, Twin 8' Power Pole Blades, Power Pole CHARGE, Lowrance HDS 12 and 16 at console, Lowrance HDS 9, Garmin LiveScope at bow, Mercmonitor, Rigid Industries Deck lights and other stuff to come that will make me go more broke

    Pro Xs has carbon fiber reeds, Optimax has metal. My 07 225 isnt a Pro XS .

    Congrats on the boat. As a ranger owner I would’ve picked the basscat too. I’d rather have a great condition older boat that’s been cared for and maintained than a newer boat that’s been beat to death.

    I went from a 2003 nitro to a 1995 Ranger. The Ranger is in showroom condition and runs so much better than the nitro even though it’s 8 years older.
