bilge pump work on old Rule pumps

I opened up the bilge area on the new to me rig. I found one of the elbows off the Rule bigle pump broken and figure I might as well replace everything since I have it open. Question is they are all "Rule" pump cartridges and housings.

I can find them on Amazon but see they have some similar looking styles from bass pro and cabelas. Does anyone know if the bass pro style or seaflow style cartridges fit the Rule housings?

    Thanks for any help.

Made a few calls and found out that the rule housings are not compatible with any other cartridges.

Using the rule cartridges will make life easy. You might have one behind the panel that’s for aeration in the livewell.

I went through this recently. the pump for my aerator had to be replaced , including the base as the replacement cartridge has been discontinued and a new style introduced. It required me to do some replumbing.

The pump cartridges should still be available for the rule pumps. I've got the part numbers for the livewell pumps in my info thread pinned at the top of the forum page. I bought cartridges for my bilge pumps, but will have to go digging through invoices. I don' think I posted them. I've got an 07, so should be the same as your 06. They changed sometime after 07.

Edit ---> After looking, I don't think the bilge had a replaceable cartridge. The round 800 gph bilge pump is a 21R. Looks like the screen comes off the bottom to screw it down. Pretty sure I snapped the new screen off and snapped the new pump on to the old screen.

Thanks for everyones feedback. I did get impatient...imagine that... and went ahead and bought one of the "shoreline" 800 gph bilge pumps from walmart as I wanted to put the boat in the water this weekend. This shorline bilge looks very similar to the BPS brand. It did however fit or snap into the Rule bilge base without issue. Granted, those bilge bases are fairly simple ,but, it makes me wonder about them fitting in other cartridge cases. I called BPS yesterday and they had switched me over to a "product specialist" who told be they were not compatible with the Rule bases. I have found the other Rule cartridges on line but, just never sure how long they will take to get. My on the water time is South Dakota is coming to an end and would like to get the boat back on the water as soon as possible.

Thanks again for all your advice and comments.
