Boat want start and no power to tilt and trim

I am new to the forum but need some help. I have a 2009 Yamaha 250 VMAX Series 2. I went out the other morning to check the fuel level before I left to go fishing. When I turned the key nothing happened, non of the gauges worked. I tried to start the motor and nothing happened. I went back to the motor and the tilt would not work on the motor or at the shifter. the tilt does work on the bow. I have checked the fuses and the battery connections. Please help.

    Is the battery dead?
If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don't have integrity,
    nothing else matters.

This is just a guess but could your kill switch be disconnected ?

No cranking with no trim and tilt is generally a sign of a blown fuse on the motor.

If you really have confirmed that the fuses are all OK, then I would disconnect the ten pin harness connector at the front of the motor. See if there is battery power on the motor side terminal for the red wire.

Kill switch has nothing to do with the motor cranking or the trim/tilt system.

While the motor won't start with the kill switch engaged the motor will crank normally. Try it some times and see.

You should hear the warning horn however. Lets you know the horn works.
