    Spinnerbait painted heads

So I have been buying my spinnerbait heads from lureparts.com and I get them painted. I don't want to deal with painting them.
I have had several instances with the wire breaking t the bend and last Saturday was the last straw. I'm sick of them breaking and costing me a check.

What is everyone using for painted heads and where are you buying them?
Or is there anyone that makes them out of titanium wire ?

    Thanks for the input.

That’s why I prefer to make my own with the gauge wire I prefer. Thin gauge wire does not get any more bites in my opinion, but loose more fish. Make sure you get .041 or bigger wire and catch more fish.

Have you asked LPO to custom make your heads, it might not be that much more and with the wire size you want.

I put floral wire on the bend then cover it with shrink tubing. It doesn’t change the vibration and exponentially changes how long they last.

I just use a couple wraps of braid and tie the off.

I can’t keep the braid on the wire.

I will personally vouch for Paul's spinnerbaits! I've got quite a few he's made for me over the years. Exactly the color and blade combos you want, and super high quality. They're great!

I too will vouch for Paul and act lures products. He has made me many custom lures and they are just
what I want. They are durabale and catch fish. Give him a try. You won’t be sorry.

Thanks but I'd rather make my own. I know they work but I just need to find the right wire heads...

twisted eyes instead of r bends last longer . They do tend to lead to more retieing because the line will wrap around the twisted eye and kink up .

A piece of appropriately sized heat shrink on the twist solves that issue!

I still prefer a heavier wire that allows the "R" bend to work like it was intended....
