    Prop Recommendation

    1989 206 with a 200hp vmax hpdi 2.6L

    Running a 24 tempest.

Here is my question……. My motor was set at about 4 inches prop to pad. I was maxing out at about 61-62mph and spinning 5500-5700 rpms. I raised the engine this week to the last higher setting putting me at about 3.5 inches prop to pad. I was still getting 61ish as my top speed, but could spin it at anywhere from 5500-6100 rpm.

I am thinking I need to go up a pitch to a 25. Thoughts?

    Thanks

Same speed and more RPMs equals more slip. No reason to add pitch. You could possibly gain performance going down to a 23 pitch and lowering your motor back down
