Transfer of trailer title from New York out of state?

Hey Guys,

Just agreed to purchase a new to me boat through a private sale from New York which from my understanding is a "title state" Checked the title of the trailer on the DMV website prior to agreeing and its all clear.

What is needed to now transfer that title to myself when purchasing it out of state? Is there an specifics that I need to handle prior to completing the transaction?

Even better if anyone here from Canada has gone through this process?
