Rookie on Chick

Hey guys - I’d normally be headed up to Michigan to chase smallies this month, but my fishing buddy’s on chemo and can’t tolerate the cold. Gonna try Chickamauga for the first time and sure would appreciate any general advice on what the fish are likely to be doing 10/16-10/20. Glad to swap info for anyone that might be headed up to Erie, St. Clair, Lake Michigan in exchange. Thanks!

Which end are you staying on, Dayton or Chattanooga? I would consider getting a guide for the first day to get started correctly. If not, lots of matted grass, so find that and fish a frog over them. Look for a guide on FB, several post there, just reference Chickamauga. If I see one, I will edit this with a link. Prayers for your fishing partner that his chemo is successful.
