Proper way to set trim on smart craft?

What is the procedure for this? Is this something done while on the water, or can it be done on the trailer? I followed instructions on screen, but now my total trim range is only like 3 before it goes into trailer and raises above the trim rods. Thanks

If you would, please take a moment to review the Announcements at the top of the Forum, and be sure to provide the Required Info (serial number) when posting. Thanks!

You are configuring ONLY the instrument. Has no affect on engine function.

    Enter the trim calibration.

Run engine full DOWN and stall against DOWN for 4 seconds.

    SAVE as the DOWN position.

Run trim to end of trim rams (short rams... just before "faster" operation begins).

SAVE that position as the TRIM position.

Run full UP to highest safe trailer position.

SAVE that position as the TRAILER position.

    Leave the Trim Calibration settings.

Note: Recommend your setup for "Trim Popup" and if given a choice, "Use High Resolution Trim".
