    GMC Sierra v 2022 Tundra

I found this video interesting since this automotive engineer raises many complaints about the 2022 Tundra that I hadn't seen before on these boards. There is some overlap but all in all the whole thing comes out as a ringing endorsement for the GMC Sierra.

Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities.

As a happy owner of a '21 Tundra, I'd get the GMC if I was shopping for a 2022 truck. V8 over turbo V6 all day.

You would have thought I'd learn over the years, but once again I'll say I wouldn't buy the first year of any vehicle after a major change. That leaves both off my list.

TT V6 will stomp all over 5.3L V8 GM engine. I lost faith in this guy when he started praising the 5.3. It’s a decent engine but not a world beater.

I'm no yota fanboy but that video is a lousy sales pitch for gmc.

I would be going with a Tundra regardless of whatever fancy crap the GMC has. Durability/longevity over tech/styling any day.

This is the second post that I've seen that supposedly contains a video. I do not see one here, am I the only one?

I’m an oldie so no truck for me that doesn’t have a V8. Old fashioned but I still believe there’s no replacement for displacement.

    Funny!
The composite bed has been around awhile. They only way your getting a hole in that bed is with a drill bit.

What's the problem with a plastic bed? GM had one about 20 years ago.

What truck was that? The step-side had glass fenders but the bed floor and interior sides were steel.

I wasn’t super impressed with my 5.3. Fine for driving around town, but noticed the lack of power towing the boat over mountain passes. Bad mpg towing too

01 or 02 was when it was introduced. It was an option on the fleet side trucks. It was called a Protec box.

That video was silly. I could care less about a cute fold down tail gate.

I am not a GM guy at all but I would rather have the 6.2 V8 over a turbo V6 any day.

I try to like the GM trucks but with several friends that have had issues, I just couldn't do it. I was complaining about a super minor dash rattle on my tundra and they were complaining about their 2 year old 20k miles truck having tranny issues and going into limp mode. No thanks.

Does the new GM's come with a couple sets of spare lifters ? so you don't have to order and wait when they go out at 8k miles
