    What prop to try next

Boat is in my signature. I just put a 112 Ultrex and 3 Impulse 60ah lithiums in the boat so doing a bit of set up work.

The only prop I tried today was 24P Fury 4 with all PVS holes open. Hole shot is real fast. The best top end I got today (air temp 84, water temp 81, no wind or current) was 70.8 at 5800 RPM at 3.25 below pad (1/8” above flush on the JP). Higher than that, steering got real stiff and speed dropped off. Obviously I need to drop an inch or two of pitch to get the RPM up and speed should go up as well. Basscats seem to run Fury 3 & 4s well and some like Bravos too. I would imagine that the 24P Fury 4 is too far from the sweet spot to have Mark or Ronnie G work on it. What props to try next? I can borrow a 23 and 24 Fury 3 and plan to do that. I am a 4 blade fan so I am on the hunt for a 23P Fury 4 which I hear was only a small production run. Any Bravo versions (the different ones confuse me!) that I should try?

For speed, Fury 23. For rocket launch hole shot, mid range punch and higher rpm, Bravo 1 FS 24. Could always get it worked if too easy to hit the limiter.

A trued pitched 23 Fury 3 blade should bring your rpms up to the required 6200 for the V8. Most of us have found the PVS plugs have no effect on performance with the V8 and new gearcase. Just plug them.
