Cumberland and Old Hickory - Nashville area

Fished Cheatham lake yesterday - caught 6 ... shad were schooling, but only 1 bite in a shad school.



Fished Old Hickory today and only caught 2... they were pushing shad, and I threw everything I had in different bait balls... next to nothing - with a few occasional hard hits - with no hook-up.

All catches both days were on a Chatterbait.


Anyone know where they are and what they are doing right now? I have (1) more day to fish for the next little bit.

When the pop corn minnows would school up in the fall I'd grab a 1/4 lunch rooster tail. Never got a huge fish on one, but it saved the day on the last couple keepers during more than one tournament.
