    Carpet install question??

    Installing carpet on 99 210 Blazer should I paint the aluminum compartment lids or put glue on bare metal? Thanks

    My first boat had aluminum lids on all the compartments. The factory carpet was glued directly to the bare aluminum. I glued the new carpet back to the bare aluminum and didn't have any issues.

    Look at a tracker or any aluminum boat, just glue it. The worst are the ones that think they need to powder coat it, that crap peels off, and the carpet comes with it.
