    Smallmouth fishing the St. Joe

    Does anyone know how the fishing is on the St Joe around the Constantine area?

    It's decent. Typical river fishing, which in my opinion can be a really fun switch up. Blow downs, bridges, some docks and weeds. Moving baits are usually the best with the current and dark water.

    You will struggle to catch giants, but there is quite a few in there that are willing to bite.

    I fished above the dam there in Constantine once. It about 10-15ft in spots. Farther up will get shallower. Ive herd good things up by mendon and sturgis dam.
