I would trade my 15 for two 12's at the console for sure. Slam latches are the way to go. The only thing I would want to change on mine would be getting seadek in the cock pit area.

Have a friend with a 16" Live on the console and asked him if he liked it over two 12's. Said he wished he went that route instead.

I have 2 at the Bow and 1 at the console. I figure I can add a second at the console in the future (as if I need it!! LOL)

For me the 15 just doesn't have the responsiveness. Just lags switching between pages. I also think the picture and images are better on a 12 vs 15. if you look at the specs they have the same pixel. In my mind I thought having a 15 would be better now I regret that decision.

I'm thinking hard about that 19" Apex at the console Had 2 12s on the last boat and kind of like the idea of a single 1080p screen.

Separate deal aside from the seats.

Are you using adequate wiring to your power supply? I know solix 15s are power hungry, and I've even seen solix 12s lag with inefficient wiring.

running 8 gauge wire for main wire then splits off to 10 gauge to graphs.

Is your voltage staying above 12? My helix 12s became more and more sluggish as my cranking battery got older. I would start at 12.2 and then mid day be at 11.2.

We have similar taste. I added the slam latch for the center box. Cost me about$25.
