It’s been sort of tough, but it’s ALWAYS tough in September. I fished for a couple hours before dark tonight and it is better than it was last week. The cool nights that we have been having are dropping the water temp by a couple degrees every day. The fish are still very scattered (like they always are in Sept) so you have to just fish your way into them by covering a lot of water with a moving bait and then when you run into them you can slow down and run back through them with a jig or plastic. Shad are starting to show up in some of the bigger coves and it won’t be long before they (and the Bass) will be all the way back on the flats in the back end of those coves. I’ll be fishn an Open tournament on Saturday this week.
