I had absolutely no problem signing up on line when I did. I also needed a new SS card and after filling out a form online, I had my new card in less than a week. Painless..

If you apply online you will be shocked how much they already know about you. Your birth date is the least of it.

If you're a victim of ID theft, there's no SS online registration available. This may come from the credit reporting agency's that SS ties into.

    Good luck!

Nearly all Haitians reach the U.S. on a well-worn route: Fly to Brazil, Chile or elsewhere in South America. If jobs dry up, slowly move through Central America and Mexico by bus and on foot to wait — perhaps years — in northern border cities like Tijuana for the right time to enter the United States and claim asylum.
