Told my wife I would take her out to dinner the following evening. Told her I would pay. Asked where she wanted to go and she said she didn't know. I told her to pick any McDonalds and I would meet her their after I got out of work. Needless to say, she got busy with her mother and couldn't make it. I went home and fixed myself a nice steak dinner.
