    Bassmaster Open at Lake Norman

Looks to be some tough fishing but maybe that is a normal weight for that lake.

Good to see Charlie Hartley in the hunt. Would be nice to see him win.

Big mistake. Lake has some good spots in it. Fish it this winter, or fish on of the tournaments this winter and you'll see. Took over 20 a few times last year

Pretty normal average for the top weight. It's a spot lake and has tons of fish, but a 5 pounder is a giant there.

Nothing prettier than a 5lb spot.
There’s no use being stupid if you’re not willing to show it off.

It was really good before they put the hybrids in it.

When I lived just south of the Lake Norman dam, I would still drive almost an hour east and fish Badin Lake or Tuckertown before I’d even think about fishing Norman.

Its awful fishing compared to the lakes around it.

What year was that? Norman has been known as the Dead Sea a long time ago. It got better when spots were introduced and it got really good when they stopped stocking stripers but it has gone downhill some since they started stocking hybrids.

Only reason to go to Norman is to see drunk girls flashing. I will stick to Wateree, Marion and Murray.

What is the deal with Basstrack. I see a few guys enter fish but not all. Is it recommended but not required.

    From about 2010 - 2016.

Norman was never the lake that Wylie, Badin, Tuck, etc. were during that time.

Many do not want to take the time to fool with entering the info. Its not required. They would rather keep fishing.
