Ok so I have a son, who has been following the Googans, their target audience! Hey he is interested in fishing and most the other boys are following them. I rib him a bit..about it. So most of my rods are Loomis, Steez and Tatulas. He had been working, and for my birthday he bought with his earnings a Googan Gold 7' ML bait caster for me, as a present and somewhat of a joke. Well I put an SV with 10lb supper Sniper on it. Took it out and put a 1/4 ball head on a 3.3 Keitech. I will say it is a very nice rod, very light, very comfortable in hand. Very sensitive rod. Now I know we joke about the Googans, but I will say this is a very good rod for 150. I think it will stay as that small swimbait rod as it seem perfect for that application.
Question: should I hide it around my buddies????? or tape over the Googan on the handle to avoid ridicule?
