So I recently purchased another daiwa tatula rod. It’s a 6’10” med ex-fast. Received the rod today and it’s a gorgeous rod and feels great but I’m so used to all my spinning rods having a fast tip , a bit softer. Before I return this rod, what type of use would this rod be good for? The ratings on it are 5-12 lb line and 1/16 to 3/8 ounce.
Ned rigs, drop shot. Use 8 lb and 1/16 th all year round. I prefer MLXF.

When you have a lot of line out deep fishing with a drop shot, ned rig or anything finesse I would like something with an extra fast tip so it takes up slack fast.
Sounds like a perfect Ned or drop-shot rod to me, although I like the drop-shot a little longer.
