    Helix g3 vs g4 transducer

I have a g3 9 si, and was thinking about moving it to the front to use with mega live. If i decide to go with it, and I replace it with a g4 would i need a transducer with g4. Are the g3 and g4 transducers the same?

G3N and G4N have the same transducers. The only difference in those generations is the G4N's have direct NMEA2000 connection and Wifi that has no function yet.

Will the G4 output NMEA data to earlier Generations? If I hook NMEA directly to the G4N can I show motor data on a G3N?
