I personally know 2 people that have died from covid, hasn't changed my mind about anything regarding it. I've known dozens that have died from cancer including my father, I know which one makes me a Lil nervous and which one doesn't.
I read the article but did not hear, were any of them vaccinated?

Not fake news, good news that our military has been able to make covid a non-factor mortality wise.
But it's okay for guys like you to dismiss those minute per centages of people harmed by the vaccine. That won't matter to you until it happens close to home. How ironic.
It's a shame that those troops lost their lives, no matter the cause, but an even bigger shame that incompetent leadership caused 260% more deaths among our military in August than did the virus.

Reports like to bounce around between an actual number, or a percentage, depending on how bad, how less bad, or how good they want it to sound. Most people are statistically challenged. But even very tiny percentages can still be bad, like the percentage of the general population that ends up hospitalized with covid. It's a very tiny percentage, but the actual number is high enough to fill our hospitals to capacity.
Demographic for the military is generally young and healthy, so the mortality rate from COVID will be low. It's low amongst professional athletes too and young people in general. Amongst the elderly and people with health conditions such as diabetes, the mortality rate is higher.
Where's the fake part?
The part that is scary to me is the fact that the militarily is the best of the best with great health care. This statement says it all to me. So far, the military has reported 34 deaths from COVID-19, for a 0.01 percent death rate. While it’s still far lower than the overall U.S. rate of 1.7 percent, that rate is 25 times higher than it was last year.
A lot of service members are overweight these days.
