Coming down mid october, never been there, any pointers would be greatly appreciated, not looking for your spots just a general idea on areas to fish

Follow the crowd there is almost always one. Expect very muddy water. Lake may be very low drawdown that time of year.

Lake is higher this year than most, fish starting to get on points. Cuts in old highway are producing.

Not to steal this thread, but where can one stay at there in March, with his grand daughter to fish for crappie? And who is a good crappie guide there?

Hugh white is a good place to stay. Cabins are a little dated but serve well. As far as a guide there are several but can’t name one over the other.

Grenada Lake Charters. Not sure there is a ramp that can be launched on due to extreme winter drawdown. GLC will know for sure.

No way to launch at this time. Corps has drawn water well below the landings.

I'm going there in the morning for 4 days. I hope the weather and fish cooperate.
