    Gamin EchoMap 106s

Mine came out of the holder on the freeway over the weekend. Luckily it fell into the bottom of the boat and stayed. Who sell the little holders to keep it from coming out?

I really don't want to have to take it off/on every time.

Some guy on Facebook and eBay makes a metal piece that holds them in place. For what they cost they are well worth it. Mine came out going down the lake and almost broke my nose last year and I am always always always always certain to hear it click twice when putting it in.

Those wont fit the Ultra units, its only the Echomap Plus units. Now i did see on Facebook where a guy used a cotter pin on the cradle for 10"/12" Ultra units. If i think about it, i'll post a pic this evening on what he did.

Dont take credit for this one but saw it facebook.....they used a cotter pin.

On this pic i also saw where they drill a small hole where the red "dot" is and use a smaller cotter pin that will fit........also the red circle i have, check yours to make sure they arent broken.

I drilled a hole that a small nail would snuggly fit that prevents the latch hinge from rotating.

Like that idea, small pin is a little less in your face but gets the job done!
