Top 3 movies n books you've read last few years

Ok guys/gals...shoulder surgery on Friday...needless to say, down for quite a while...haven't seen but a movie or two or read a book in probably the last 2-3 years...so looking for suggestions...since wife would probably not watch horror or gore, shy away from those...appreciate the thoughts...thanks!

I mention this one every time a good book thread comes up, Undaunted Courage, Steven Ambrose. Also like Ikes Fishing on the Edge, I know some dont care for him but to me its story of a guy losing it all... to win it all. Makes you wonder if the price is worth it, not just in fishing but in life. Watched "Worth" with Michael Keaton last week, darn good one. And I also liked Bloodline and Ozark on netflix.

Books: If you like submarine stuff, Blind Man’s Bluff by Sherry Sontag and Christopher Drew is awesome.
Agree with previous post, Ike’s book is great.
The Physics of NASCAR by Diandra Pelecky - neat info on car design, engine development, etc…. It’s interesting without being too technical.
    Band of Brothers by Ambrose
Movies: Lots of series on Netflix, hulu-just find something that’s interesting

Hard to reccomend such things not knowing what your interests are, but as said twice above C.J. Box Joe Pickett series is very good. I've read them all and thoroughly enjoyed them. Another of my favorite authors is Nelson Demille. As far as movies or shows, The Wire and Band of Brothers are excellent if ya haven't seen those. Hope everything goes well with your surgery and ya heal up quickly.
