Dang! That's probably more then the engine is worth...LOL
So why do I see these at a wide range of prices?
There are some on <Read Announcements- Edited> with great reviews for around $100.

I pulled the VST apart. The screen didn’t seem to be clogged up at all. But the gasket for the VST is stretched out now & needs to be replaced. Can someone tell me what the part number is?
    Thanks

No change in pressure after inspecting & cleaning the screen. No loose connections that I can find.

Pulse pump has been rebuilt with new guts.
I'm just trying to do as much as I can when I'm with the boat.
It stays at our place at the lake & weekends is my only chance to try what could be suspect.
    Thanks!
no,it leans more toward press regulator

BEFORE you start buying pumps and regulators- let's do something a little more scientific:

    Check and record pressure:

    -Key on (or at idle)

-Under Acceleration (assuming it will run)

-15/30/60 seconds after turning key OFF.

When I ran it with the gage on it the pressure never changed.
25 psi key on, at idle & on pad.
Only thing I haven't checked is the readings with the key off.
I kept checking the bulb & it was always tight.

When I had the gage on it, it only acted up a couple times.
    But the gage never moved.
Last time out it acted up more. But I didn't have the gage on it.
But it's never gone over 25 psi & I ran it a lot when I had it on.

    Thanks

That's good- let's get the info after the key is turned off as well.

Also- would be REALLY good to know that the gauge has been connected to some other engine/vehicle with the reported pressure MATCHING the expected pressure (ie: A reasonable expectation that the gauge is somewhat accurate).

At this point it will probably be next spring before the boat goes in the water again.
Gauge is accurate. I tested it to make sure.
So when the key is turned off should the pressure stay stable?

    Thanks

Yes- we are watching to make sure that the pressure does not bleed off rapidly (or excessively) after engine shutdown.

Already know the running pressure is a problem (too low).

Ok, strange thing. I haven't used the boat yet this year. Hooked the gauge up to it again this weekend & now it reads 35psi. Started it up hooked up to garden hose, Gauge went to 35, stayed that way when giving it some gas & dropped about 1psi a minute after shut down. Sitting all night it dropped to 30. I'm going to try and get it out next weekend to run it. If the PSI is good, what else should I look for?
    Thanks,

Got a chance to run the boat again yesterday. When I turn the key on pressure goes to 35psi. Turn it off it drops to about 32psi within 10 seconds. If I let it sit it will eventually hold steady around 28. Does the same running it on ears. When I go out and run it I'm at 25psi. New symptom is that it wouldn't get out of the hole. Gun it and have no power. Before it would pop right up but just have the cutting out issue at times. Pulled the plugs and looked at them and didn't see anything abnormal. A little dirty on the posts is all.
