    AVX 2080 In-Hull Transducer Location

I am not getting high speed depth readings from the HB MSI transducer, so I need to install an in-hull transducer with the Y split cable. Can anyone tell me where their in-hull TD is located and have had good results?

That's a tough one. Probably not going to find many that have an in-hull transducer on an aluminum boat, or that are successful that is. There are only a couple brands that make an in-hull TD for aluminum.(Vexilar/AlumaDucer, Hawkeye). And not sure if they would even be compatible with your HB unit. You might be better off adding a skimmer TD for holding bottom at speed while on pad.

Good point. I didn't think about the in-hull not working for aluminum boat. Just curious if anyone is getting depth readings from their MSI transducer at higher speeds?

Where is your transducer mounted? Pics? Is it level?

You will need a "Y" cable and mount a 2D transducer on the back. This will work seamlessly with your boat. Mine does!
