    Merc 40 4S props

Currently running a 13p aluminum prop and was curious if anyone is running a 14p? Any change in performance?

1c465916……10.5 x 13p stock aluminum prop currently producing 30-31mph @ 5700……my goal is to hit 35mph if possible…..what would be the best prop for this, 14p aluminum or 14p SS?

You're probably going to want to keep those RPM's up in the 5700-5950 range for best results.

Something in the 13P (MAYBE 14P) Stainless prop range might work. There are also some 4-blade choices that may help, depending on what boat this engine is mounted on.

Thanks for providing the prop info, as there really is no "stock" prop (engine comes from the factory with NO propeller).
