My dad has a 2006 Stratos with a 225 E-tec outboard motor. He called me and said he walked out to his boat and noticed that the tilt/trim motor was running and the motor was going up and down and then just went all the way down. By the time I got there the tilt motor was still running...so to keep the motor from burning up I took the negative off of the battery. I took the cowling off and found the tilt/trim relay so I ordered one and replaced it but when I connect the ground wire back the tilt/trim motor is still running. Not sure what the next step is....does anyone have any experience with this issue?
