    Transducer Rooster tail

Any suggestions on how to eliminate the roostertail from a Helix 7 transducer? The boat is a Triton 1754 and once I get on plane the rooster tail is hitting the side of the motor and water is coming in to the boat. I have already moved the transducer several times on the transom and nothing works.

Just take some black electrical tape and wrap it around the hole in the support just in front of the transducer. You can also make a 90 degree plate that goes in back of the support and over it.

Humminbird had this problem on older transducers, then they introduced a rubber plug that would sit in the hole of the support for the transducer mount. I had this problem and called Humminbird, they sent me a "plug" for my transducer, call them, they might not have learned from their mistakes !
