Random red blobs on lake, Smartstrike

I have a Helix 7 G3N Mega down, Si, 2021. Software ver. 2.44 (latest update). Tried Smartstrike first time today. I am getting random red "blobs" all over the lake view. At first I thought it was the "spots", but it is not, I figure those out easy enough. I have been through every setting, and no luck. I am fairly savvy at operating the unit, new to the card, but I am stumped as to what these are. It's trying to show me something, I just don't know what?

Semi impressed with Smartstrike, it did put me on fish. However as others have said, many of the spots are kind of obvious, although some were not. Jury still out.

Are you sure you’re not seeing the shallow water highlights? Those show up in red

I think that is fixed in the update that just came out this week

This is a known problem and is fixed with the just released 2.660. Read the release update notes and you will see the description.

2.440 caused it and 2.660 fixes it.
