At least the gator was smiling for the camera......

I did the samething with a worm hook while fishing but the gator was not nearly as big......thought i was hooked on a branch and started bringing it up and hook was in the back of a smaller gator.....ended up coming off and it went back down...

I have seen a couple that looked that size on Barnett lake. Don’t want one that close to the boat myself. Chootm

6 or 7 years ago on a trip to Florida.
I was in a john boat with my friend. I got my jig stuck on the bottom just as it was getting light out.
It was in about 8 ft of water and I had a 6 1/2 ' rod.
My buddy drove up to it and I stuck the rod in the water almost to my hand when I noticed a alligator a foot from my hand. As soon I seen it and looked it in the eye it was gone, wow it was fast. It scared the crap out of me. I remember is how wide it's head was. After we were done fishing there was a 4 ft snake under the driver's side of the truck. Someone warned me about it.
Turns out shoveling snow around here a couple times a year really isn't that big a deal
