    Northfork X Ray blanks

Looking to build 2 7ft rods using the X Ray blanks
    Med Hvy and a Heavy.
What model number blanks do you recommend me using ?
Also if I want to cut down another for a 6”10 skipping rod would that be ok using the same blanks ?

    Thanks and Tight Lines!

I have several of the xrays, and as large as they are in the butt section, I don't think you'd have any issues with trimming them to the length you prefer.

The MB 736 is MH. I've built 3 of the SJ 736 rods and just got two of the MB 736 rods delivered to me. I really like the sensitivity of the XRays.

I built an Sj736 this past summer and it’s an incredible Texas rig rod for 1/4-1/2oz. Great for sparse cover. I definitely wouldn’t fish a 1oz weight on it. It’s softer than expected, I’d call it a true MH, fast action rod. It’s definitely not a heavy power by any means.

Where are you seeing them for $75? Site shows $125, which is half of their normal price of $250.

They sent an email for existing customers with a promo code a few days ago. If you haven’t ordered from them and try using the code they will cancel the order.

Yeah, we prior customers got an email last week. The blanks were the same $75 price before July for some time so you had lots of time before now to get one. With all the 6 ft 8 in, 7 ft, 7 ft 3 in, 7 ft 6 in models I wouldn't need to chop a blank.

Placed my order 9/13 and still haven’t received an email on shipment??! Is this NFC usual ordering process for a stocked item?

They say 2 - 3 weeks processing orders. Also you never 100% know if they are in stock or not unless you called to verify before you order. They will say everything is in stock then come to find out it isn't. They are not the best company when it comes to shipping and having stock. But I like their product so I put up with them.

I placed an order on 08/13/21 and received my rods last Saturday. Usually +or- a month. You won't hear much from them except for when you purchase and when they ship. Patience grasshopper!

sort of depends on what you order...my last order shipped i a week received in 10 days.. best order ever from them

the SJ736 is a true MH as noted... I like the sj725 for a worm rod..
