    NO ALARM

    Hi All,

    I have an 03' opti 200. S/n ot760115.

My issue is not the speaker itself.

When I turn the key on I get either 2 beeps, no beeps, or a crackling sounding 2 beeps. The smart craft gauge sometimes will read "horn fault". I've already replaced speaker but issue is not fixed. What do I look at next, key switch?

Check the voltage at the buzzer as the problem is occurring.

    $42 mercury buzzer.

voltage comes and goes at buzzer/horn. I wiggled every wire I could looking for an issue.

I'll find the "cannon-plug" next, I bet cleaning that connection fixes it

If it was an ecm issue alarm would stay on. Mine has never stayed on.

Cannon plug found and all cleaned and male plugs opened up. I'll let you know if it fixed it.

The cannon plug was my issue. Works great now. Thanks BBCBoards!

    Not necessarily.

Fortunately the cannon-plug turned out to be the problem for you (and likely there were other problems looming and waiting to rear their heads, too). Good catch!
