    OX66 head gaskets

2003 OX66 VMAX 225. Remanufactured power head installed almost 3 years ago. I have retorqued the head bolts to specs twice. Once after break in and once during annual maintenance. No sign of water in the cylinders. Is this much corrosion along the gasket line normal?

What brand gaskets were used? The corrosion does not look normal after three years. Yam911 might have better insight

It was Crowley Marine remanufactured block. My old block had a hole in the water jacket I was never able to fix. I have no idea what type of gaskets they used. My guess is they aren't OEM.

I'd change them, if it were me. I may even have a set I'd make you a deal on.

i get mine from HT. Check the water pressure fittings on top of the heads but it sure looks like the gaskets are leaking. I have only retorqued mine twice with no sign of leaking. Yours should not with 1 time. Change them like you said! CJ
