Cannot. You can change some hard parts to gain more hp on the EFI motors.

No computer so your options to gain horsepower are phase 1, 2, and 3 kits from hydrotec. Most gains are from changing out the heads. Once you change heads out if i remember correctly you have to use 93 octane gas.

Heads are your best gain as javelin said. Mine runs fine on 90 non ethanol rec fuel. Depending on what boat it is on would decide on a tuner. Reeds will help it idle and run quality. IMHO it is worth just the idle and throttle response improvement. CJ
