Willow Leaf Blades Size 3.5
I make a 3/8 oz Ultra Minnow Spinnerbait with a size 3.5 front and size 4 willow leaf back blade. Last year I had a little bit bigger size 3.5 blade that measured 1.62 inches that I thought were Do It blades. I purchased some replacement Do It blades that measure about 1.52 in length. The new blades will not turn. I can put on my old blades (1.62 in length) and they turn. I am putting the cup side towards the frame. I use a R bend .040 frame. Any suggestions or know where I can purchase size 3.5 willow leaf blades with a length of 1.62 inches.

Sounds that's it is the weight of the original blade letting it turn. Have you tried 1 or 2 more of the beads for spacing? If not add a couple and try it. At a sport show I was working the molder sent in some inline baits and the blades wouldn't spin. Had to add 4 beads to it to get it to work. Thanks to Dick at the trout farm for sharing the pool with me, we were able to get it corrected..

I was having the same issue with a 3/8oz spinnerbait that I am making, what I found was the 3.5 blade has to much cup. I placed a blade in a vise between two blocks of wood and flatten it out some and works perfect now!

I have always bent just the tip of the blade out a little and that gets them spinning .

Have you tried moving the front blade closer to the rear? That's where I would start personally.

Looked into sizing of 3.5 blades:
Lakeland 1.565
Worth 1.562
Hagensfish 1.625

There are no size standards in blades or hooks. I wish there was.
