    Repowering With a 40hp Merc and Have a Battery Question

    I have a Jon boat that I’m repowering with an electric start, trim&tilt equipped motor. The 20 year old Yami runs fine but doesn’t have those luxuries

    I want to keep weight to a minimum. What is the smallest battery with sufficient power, and some to spare I can use. Additionally, the battery will be dedicated to the motor. I run no 12v accessories in the boat.

    which 40 2 or 4 strk still need adequate crankin amps , batt technology has come along way, theres some good lithium sponsors on here , get in touch with one

    It’s a 2022 4 stroke. Yeah I ordered it 8 months ago for what it’s worth.
