    pitch question

son in law just bought a 03 ranger 520 , with a merc. 250 on it .. it has a 27 tempest on it .. hes looking for a 4 blade as well ... I told him to look for a Fury , or a Bravo , but he had a trophy on his last boat and wants another trophy ..if his rpms are right does he stay with the same pitch on the trophy ??

Typically the same or maybe 1” less for Trophy. Was his last boat a big heavy Ranger too?

You go 1 pitch lower when switching from 3 to 4 blade. This is especially true when you are moving from a stainless to a stainless prop. The RPM may go up 100 RPM as a subsequent result, but it will keep you in a proper range. Unless you are already at the limit on the hot side and that 100 RPM will put you over.

Couldn't tell you. As I'm not familiar nor have ever even touched a Bravo 1 before.
