    Grassy Creek Park boat ramp

The wife and I are going to be staying in Bullock NC area on Kerr Lake next week.
Has anyone on here ever launched out of the Grassy Creek boat ramp and fished this area of the lake? Are there any hidden dangers as far as navigating the water in this area. And more importantly how's the fishing in this area this time of year. Any info would be appreciated.

water is getting lower but shouldnt be an issue still. just stay in the channel until you get to where you want to fish. most shallow areas are marked coming from the ramp all the way to the main lake. the bite should be picking up in area over the next month. just pick an area you want to fish and if that doesnt work move on out toward the main till you find them.

If you are talking about Longwood Ramp, no issues; great spot in a great creek and a stone's throw from Bobcat's a terrific, large, well stocked - one of the best tackle shops you will visit. As for hazards, not really. The only pseudo-hidden navigation hazards are towards the mouth to the left of the channel marker buoy headed out is a RR Track and a shallow flat and just past it are a couple of shallow flats (Marked by buoys) to your right.

don't forget to use the water level offsets available with most mapping software. then you can see areas to avoid as a backup to the buoy's.
