That was really good depth and he did reach 0.8 mph speed.

Why the speed reference? I am a potential Mega person who wants to use it at up to 2Mph at times in forward mode.(that is Kph on the vid if that matters) Bob

I converted the speed to mph…First video I have seen moving vs standing still. I fish crappie and walleye occasionally and also fish sometimes longlining jigs and trollling crankbaits for both.

More than likely that was a poor GPS fix while not moving(much)

The beginning of the video has the tree about 15' away and at the end it is past the 0 distance and moving away from the tree.
So the transducer has moved at least 15' in 47 seconds, you can calculate that in kph or mph.

Much deeper in thought than I am ready for on a Sunday morn. I know it was moving some. My query was in reference to the view and how the speed affects it. And now, why forward view is a factor. So much to learn in so little time! Bob
OK I googled it. I think it comes out at about .2 MPH. (don't bet the house on it though) 15' divided by 47 sec = .3 ft per sec

I have a couple of friends that use their Liveview sometimes pushing and trolling jigs. I’m’ super excited to see this video in movement and depth finally. Granted,,,I sometimes vertically fish,,but I move around a lot and cover a lot of water searching for larger crappie especially in early spring using crankbaits in as cold water of 45 degrees. Can’t wait to use Mega Live myself!!!
