thanks for the response. The manual for the 115 ProXs states max rpm is 5000-6300 which is quite a range.
my motor is new so I am still breaking it in but it looks like even when trimmed out the max I am going to see will be about 5600 also.
my concern is being so far below the 6300 max will the engine be broken in completely or will I have engine oil issues.

Sorry for the mis-information, when I read your post, I was assuming 2 stroke Optimax but if your motor is new, it is a 4 stroke and will perform much differently than my 2014 ProXS Optimax.
I am sure someone with a ProXS 4 stroke will weigh in.

Mine will do about 42 on the gps, fully loaded with a 150 (105) Etec jet…..but it will run in 6” of water!

I can turn my 20 Laser about 5800 rpms. It’s four years old with right at 100 trouble free hours.
