Motor cranks and runs on hose great everytime along with initial start up in water . After that you can run a while and it may or may not shut down while running. If you stop and turn it off and try to restart, it may or may not restart and if it doesn't it will not even turn over, click, nothing but will eventually crank and run again until the same process starts all over. I did discover that it will crank with shifter in gear but if you disconnect neutral switch from key switch it will not. Any words of wisdom would be appreciated. Thanks

No check engine light or beeps? Have you read codes from EMM? Sounds like a PDP issue possibly

Classic symptoms of a PDP with cold solder joints, typical problem with PDP of that time frame!

Could this be one of the relays plugged into the PDP ? I read an article from another guy with exact motor and same symptoms and it wound up being one of the relays ? Thanks

It could be a relay, but more likely what has been suggested.

Swap some of the relays and see if problems stays the same.

PDP panel can be split with help of a sharp thin knife and patience, then check for cold solders and rectify them.
