How come I can't post a pic in the private messages?

I have no problem posting pics in a post or forums but can't seem to get one to post in a private message???

I literally just came to this forum to ask the same identical question at twitch. So figured I'd send this message. I was thinking I was missing something but sounds like at least one other has same issue. If it can't be done then I'm good. If it's doable I'd like to know how to post a pic in private messaging.
