Melvern in Sept

Going to be fishing Melvern towards the end of the month and have never been there.

Any advice, tips, tricks or things to stay away from?

I had one of my best days on Melvern throwing a spook on points in early Oct. A ned rig on the dam will always catch fish but they will most likely be small. Are you taking high school kids out?

Nothing better than a good topwater day !! We caught a few at Wilson on Tuesday on Whopper Ploppers, 5 lb largemouth was the biggest

Yes... I've never fished the lake... should be interesting.
