Thats heartbreaking to see. How did it come off the trailer?

I have an older 1998 R91 Intra coastal and I love it, it is so easy to clean after a day on the water.

Just washed it. Turn off onto a side street. My truck cleared the corner, the boat cleared the corner, the motor was still on the White Line of the road, and a guy driving a work van, traveling at least 50mph, hit my motor and launched the boat off the trailer (I had it strapped down with boat buckles). The bow eye was bent about 45 degrees and was still attached to the winch, sheared the motor off the jackplate at the steering tube.
The guy that hit me did stop, otherwise I would have never known who hit me. Being he was in a Commercial Vehicle, the insurance paid more than what I paid for the boat. The pisser was, Ranger stopped making the 518 Intracoastal. So I ended up in the RT198 P with an Aluminum Trailer and no carpeting. I fish SaltWater some times.

It was the boat of my dreams! But to be honest, I am MUCH more mentality comfortable in my Aluminum Boat. I do miss the speed and leg room, but where I fish, yeah, the tin works well.

I DO INSIST!!!! and Thanks for sharing! You Sir have one of the best-looking Intracoastals I've seen to date. That extra color really makes it stand out above the other Intracoastals.

It can be hard to see in pics but the Ranger stripe going down the side is plum colored and has a gold pin stripe around it.

Yea, I originally thought it was burgundy striped, and it wasn't until today's extra pictures that I noticed it was a deep purple color. When I saw that and the gold pin, it put it over the top for me! Definitely not 2 colors I would have originally picked, but seeing it together really looks sharp!, and not something you see every day even for Rangers. I like it a lot! Maybe it's because my old high school colors was purple and gold ..... IDK ..... or maybe it's just sharp and unique as heck!!!!

Mostly aluminum trailer and no carpet. The idea is it can be used in fresh and salt water.

I could be wrong, but believe I was the original owner of this boat?? Bought it from Marshall’s Marine in SC. You’ve kept it up well if it is. New mercury looks great on back

Marshall's used to LOVE to do an all-white Ranger with silver, or grey, or black pins.

I know a couple of guys with various model Ranger's from them that way.

Beautiful boat. Do those draft any shallower than a regular Ranger hull? Those new Z21 Intracoastal are awesome (but too big for my new garage )

Nope. Just have special hull/transom to accommodate factory installed trim tabs, special decking, unique colors, saltwater TM ...... and I think they have tinned wiring (but I may be wrong on that one).
