    23P-SHO 250

I've got an old 23P Tempest from a previous boat, and was wondering if I could use it on the SHO/Ranger. What should I expect in performance. Or is this ill-advised?

A Tempest is a good prop on a SHO. 23p is probably a little low tho. I’d think you would want closer to a 25p.

When you say low, how would that translate into how it would perform?

Hole shot should be great, just slower on top.

Ok, thanks. Slower is the last thing I need on a Ranger!

25" T 2 is what you need. Tempest is too small in diameter for the SHO they like a T model prop.

T 2 is definitely the preferred prop. However, I’ve tried both and on my rig and the Tempest is every bit as good as the T 2.
